Ruben’s Story
Rubén was the most amazing, brave, courageous little boy if ever there was one, he is our first born son. Who crashed into this world fighting, and from that moment on, we knew he was special. Meant for only us. He was diagnosed with a rare disease at six months old called Myotubular Myopathy and from then spent a good portion of his life between home & Alder Hey Hospital. Always causing trouble and up to tricks. He was so full of smiles, such a character with a way for mischief. A terrible mummy’s boy who adored his dad, family & best friend Tilly the cockapoo!
Rubén loved everything ANIMAL and would often tell us off by pretending to roar like a lion or beat his chest like a gorilla! As a quiet, curious but headstrong little boy he defied many odds in his life, often surprising his doctors & puzzling them at the same time. He adored spending time with those he loved and left behind a huge Rubén shaped hole, shattering us completely when he suddenly passed away in hospital on the 13/02/2021, taking our hearts with him to heaven. The world is a much tougher place without him here, & the pain of his loss will never leave any of us. Rubén was the most loving little boy, it is only fitting that we try to carry on for him, he is at the heart of what we have created in his name.
